One Child at a Time: Bringing Hope and Education to Gombi Community, Adamawa State
Through Bobys Charity Foundation’s Go Back to School Initiative, we have officially expanded our reach to the Gombi Community Village in Adamawa State, Northern Nigeria.
Today, we are steping in to support children who are at high risk of dropping out, helping them stay in the classroom where they can truly thrive. These resilient students are the newest beneficiaries of the Bobys Charity Foundation Scholarship Scheme. Through this program, we are providing them with essential learning materials, school supplies, and continuous mentorship throughout their entire secondary school education.
The Reality on the Ground
In Adamawa State, approximately 21.7% of children aged 5–16 are out of school. While this is technically one of the lowest rates across the 19 Northern states, the statistics represent a harsh reality: hundreds of thousands of children are still being left without access to a consistent education.
“One child at a time, we are taking children off the streets and putting them back in school—where they belong.”
Moving Forward, Together
With the generous support of our donors, the hard work of our dedicated staff, and the passion of our committed volunteers, we are working tirelessly to change this narrative. Together, we are giving vulnerable children the opportunity to learn, grow, and build brighter futures.
We are making a difference, one child, one community at a time.
