Purpose, People & Lasting Change
Boby's Charity Foundation was established by Odafe Sylvanus Ijama in 2021 as a steadfast non-profit organisation with a dual presence in Lagos, Nigeria, and Praia, Cape Verde. Our unwavering dedication is rooted in the pursuit of creating a positive and enduring impact within our communities.
We firmly believe that every act of kindness has the potential to transform lives. With the invaluable backing of our generous donors and dedicated volunteers, we aim to breathe hope, happiness, and a brighter future into the lives of individuals and families who grapple with adversity.
What began as a commitment to support children through education and nutrition has grown into a comprehensive organisation delivering impactful programmes across five key focus areas, working collaboratively with children, youth, families, supporters, and partners to enhance the quality of life.

Boby’s Charity Foundation delivers life-changing programmes across education, nutrition, youth sports development, skills empowerment, and family welfare. Every initiative is designed to create lasting, sustainable impact in the communities we serve in Lagos, Nigeria, and Cape Verde. We believe that real transformation happens when children stay in school, families have food on the table, young people learn skills that create income, and communities are empowered to support one another.

We are unwavering in our pursuit of positive transformation - joining forces with children, youth, families, and partners to build a better future.
Go Back to School
We support out-of-school children and vulnerable students by providing school fees, uniforms, books, bags, shoes, learning materials, and after-school educational support. Our goal is to reduce dropout rates and create opportunities for underserved children to reach their full potential.
Food For All Initiative
A hunger relief and nutrition programme focused on supporting vulnerable children, families, and elderly individuals. Through food distributions, cooked meal outreaches, and nutritional support, we ensure that no one in our community goes to bed hungry.
Grassroot Team Empowerment
We equip young soccer players with the resources and skills needed to excel in the football industry. Through training, mentorship, networking opportunities, and necessary equipment, we strengthen their capacity and encourage community-led solutions.
Skills Empowerment Program
Practical vocational, entrepreneurial, and digital skills training for young people and adults. Training areas include digital literacy, entrepreneurship, financial education, and emerging technologies.
Family Support Program
Dedicated to strengthening vulnerable families through food assistance, educational support, parenting workshops, emergency relief, and referrals to essential services, creating environments where children can thrive.

My name is Dorcas Babalola, and I am 13 years old. There was a time when I thought I would never return to school. My parents struggled to provide food for our family, and paying school fees seemed impossible. I stayed at home while many of my friends continued their education. Everything changed when Boby’s Charity Foundation visited our community. Through their Go Back to School Initiative, I received school supplies, a uniform, books, and support to continue my education. They also encouraged me to believe in myself and work hard toward my dreams. Today, I am back in school, performing well in my studies, and I hope to become a teacher one day. The Foundation did more than help me return to school, they gave me hope and a future.

As a mother of three children, life has not always been easy. There were days when I worried about how to feed my children and keep them in school. The financial pressure was overwhelming, and I often felt helpless. When Boby’s Charity Foundation began supporting our family, everything started to change. Through their educational support and food assistance programs, my children received the help they needed to stay in school and focus on learning. The Foundation treated us with dignity and respect. Their support gave my family stability during difficult times and renewed my confidence as a parent. Today, my children are doing better academically, and our family is more hopeful about the future than ever before.
